MY TALENT
My name is Gopika. I am studying in standard IV. I am learning Classical dance. I have been learning for the past five years. I performed my “Chalangai Pooja” on April 27, 2011. My first dance Guru was Mrs. Jamuna Devi. Now I am learning from Guru Aadithya. I have performed in four programs. I have received certificates from great dancers. I will soon be performing my Arangetram. I am also interested in playing chess, origami and in drawing. However, I wish to become a good Classical dancer.

The universe is commonly defined as the totality of everything that exists, including all matter and energy the planets, stars and galaxies. According to the prevailing scientific model known as Big Bang universe expanded from an extremely hot dense phase called PLANK EPOCH. According to general relativity, space can expand faster than the speed of light, although we can view only a small portion of the universe due to the limitation imposed by light speed. Since we cannot observe the space beyond the limitations of light it is uncertain whether the size of the universe is finite or not.
As late as 1820, the universe was thought by European Scientists to be 6000 years old. It is now to be thought 13,700,000,000 years old.The earth is rotating on its own axis at a rate of 460 meters per second at the equator.

OUR UNIVERSE
Our universe consists of thousands of galaxies. Milky Way galaxy is a dense cluster of stars. We live on Earth which is a part of Milky Way galaxy. There are planets, asteroids, satellites, comets and meteors in the solar system.
Solar System means “system of Sun”. Sun is a huge star and it attracts other bodies with its strong gravitational pull.
The various planets of our Solar system orbit around the sun. They do not produce light of their own, but they reflect the light of the sun. Our Earth is the third planet from the Sun which supports life because it has air, water and soil. Moon is a natural satellite of the Earth.
It is very interesting to know more about our Universe and wonder how incredible it is.

OUR UNIVERSE
The universe contains billions of galaxies, each containing millions or billions of stars. The space between the star and galaxies is largely empty. The universe is very huge. It would take a modern jet fighter more than a million years to reach the nearest star to the sun.
