Dear parent,                   

 

Your school is a hide bound conservative in its values. You would have probably noticed it. We do not invite people unrelated to academics to the school, thus ruling our invitations to film stars and politicians. We do not allow our staff to wear anything except sarees ,if women and formals ,if men. We do not make our students participate in any dance or music competitions, if they are not classic carnatic. We do not allow our children to be included in any protest rallies or put them on the streets for promoting some causes and we do not allow our students to wear any flashy or suggestive clothes.

But when it comes to academic proposals and student friendly practices ,your school has been revolutionaries or iconoclasts. We went in for computerized education when no one dared. Text book based straitjacketed academics were cast aside and stigma of bent-back student hood was wiped out  by two text books system for the first time in our state by us. Free full Lunch and mineral water on the house was provided, once again, when no other institution even thought of it.

So changes were welcome by us and as long as the changes contributed to better school life to the children and lesser burden for the parents. We went ahead and implemented them with full speed, of course, after consultation with you through the Monsoon Circular letter.
